About DAN

We showcase Black excellence, promote unity, advance decolonized perspectives, and advocate for policies that drive economic equity.

Through 15 unique initiatives, DAN promotes literacy and skills development while removing systemic barriers and advancing opportunities for youths, women, and people of African descent. 

Focus Area: Black Excellence, Women Empowerment, and Economic Empowerment.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

  • Voluteer: We welcome volunteers in-person or virtually. Our success are mostly by likeminds who commit their time and resources to advance DAN's vision.
  • Desired Skills: Graphic design, web design, planning, moderator, committee and team members.
  • Chapter: We welcome like-minded individuals and partners to start a chapter for some of our platforms in their region.

 

OTHER WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:

  • Tributes / Honors: You can be invited or nominate yourself or someone for a feature or as a recipient on one of our awards platforms.
  • Women Empowerment: You can attend or contribute to any of our workshops, events and women network.
  • Black Excellence: We promote black excellence and other forms of success stories.
  • Black Businesses: We support black business enterprise and blacks patronizing blacks worldwide.
  • Smartest Kids: We welcome teens and young adults to showcase their intellect while also articulating ideas for the good of all.
  • Generational Wealth: We promote opportunities and platforms that help black and African people to gain wealth through real estate, and best practice to legally migrate worldwide in a safe manner.
  • Daily Virtuals: We welcome interesting and exceptional individuals to join our panels, interviews and debates via our social media lives.

Paul Ade is the Founder and Executive Director of the Diversity Advancement Network, leading initiatives that uplift Black communities across Canada, the Caribbean, and Africa. With decades of experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, and real estate, he brings a deep commitment to community empowerment, economic advancement, and service.

VIEW OUR PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES

Black Exellence

Black Business Awards – Since 2014, the Black Business Summit held several empowerment programs. In 2017, BBA was launched to celebrate the accomplishments of black professional and black business.

World Smartest Kids – Since 2015, our platforms have held literacy programs in schools. These outreach has now evolved into the World Smartest Kids, a competition-driven platform with intellectual engagements. 

Black Canadian Awards – Since 2013, the Black Canadian Awards has honored role models and trendsetters in black and African communities in Canada and Worldwide. BCA also celebrates our history, arts and culture.

Africa Of Our Dreams – Since 2020, the Africa of Our Dreams has promoted discussions that advances African and black community empowerment, while also uniting black, Caribbean and African communities worldwide. 

Black Women Awards – Since 2016, BWA has highlighted success stories and achievements of black women and women of African descent in Canada, US, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and worldwide.

Black Empowerment

BCBN – Since 2014, the Black Business Summit has held annual events with positive impact that was helpful in launching our other community, economic, and women empowerment initiatives in the Greater Toronto area and other cities in Canada.

BHON – Black Home Ownership Network is a community-driven platform that empowers individuals and families to rise above corporate and government systemic barriers, while also providing access to creative pathways into homeownership. 

ETV – Since 2009, we have held civic engagements called Black Canadian Mayoral Forum. Same vision was later rebranded as EmpowerToVote, a platfrom that engages stakeholders in conversations that holds elected officials accountable.

BCF – The Black CEO Forum is a unique platform for corporate executives, leaders and founders of highly successful businesses, non-profits and startups in Africa, the Caribbean, US, and Europe. This is primarily for people of African descent.

AID – The Africans In Diaspora is a platform that’s dedicated to both the positives and the challenges faced by people of African descents residing outside of the African continent. We  previously had this platfrom as Africa Economic Empowerment.

Women Empowerment

GWLF – Since 2016, we have worked with stakeholders on policies to empower women and girls. The Global Women Leadership Forum inspires women into leadership positions.

AWHE – Since 2014, African Women Honors & Empowerment is a global women’s network that promotes literacy, leadership skills, charity and unity among African women.

BWHE – Since 2013, the Black Women Honors & Empowerment is a leading international network with frequent round-tables and seminars to elevate women and girls.

CWHE – Since 2014, the Caribbean Women Honors & Empowerment is an amazing network of women actively empowering other women in the Caribbean Islands.

FYPI – Launched in 2013 and previously called Black Canadian Queen. Future Youth President Initiative is a task oriented activity initiative for those who have what it take to lead.
